Though October Prime Day keeps you busy shopping for great deals, it can also be a time to kick back and watch something fun. It can be hard to find where to stream the best shows and movies. The good news is that we’ve found all the best streaming deals at Disney+, Paramount+, Prime Video and more ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale.
Amazon Prime has plenty of shopping perks, but members can also stream exclusive shows and movies while shopping for October Prime Day deals this fall. Prime Video has a variety of hit movies, acclaimed shows and unique original content you can stream anytime you want. If you sign up for Prime today, you can access Prime Video (along with other benefits) free for 30 days.
Whether you like Bravo-backed drama or the hard hits of the NFL, Peacock has you covered. NBC’s streaming service is available for 17% off when you sign up for a Peacock annual plan—the Premium plan rings up at $79.99 for 12 months and the Premium Plus plan is $139.99 for the year. Compared to the monthly plans, you’ll save between $15.89 and $27.89 on the streaming service, which is home to NBC’s streaming catalog, weekend NFL games and brand-new movies and shows.
If you want to have movies and shows to watch on your own and with your family, Disney+ has more than one way to do that for you. The streaming site recently introduced a new bundle with Disney+, Hulu and Max (formerly HBO Max), starting at $16.99 a month for the ad-supported tier. There’s also an ad-free tier listed for $29.99. Both tiers are more affordable than subscriptions to individual streamers, with the ad-supported tier 35% cheaper and the ad-free tier 43% cheaper. There’s also the original collection of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ with ads for $14.99 a month—that’s 44% off the price of all three streamers separately. You can also get the ad-free tier of the Trio collection for $24.99 a month, which saves you 42% versus paying for the three streamers on their own.
If you want a new way to watch the NFL season or catch up on the latest Star Trek adventures, Paramount+ is letting newcomers add a second streamer to its plan for a great deal. Through Monday, September 6, the streaming site is letting newcomers get an annual membership for $59.99—that’s $60 off its usual yearly price of $119.99. To save even more, you can stick with the Paramount+ Essential annual plan which is now $30 off at $29.99 for the first year.
Hulu is offering a one-month free trial to new customers this year. Its streaming subscription service (with ads) rings up at $7.99 per month and the ad-free version comes in at $17.99 per month—whichever plan you choose you can get 30 days of free streaming as a new subscriber or an eligible returning subscriber. If you want to stream your favorite shows live with friends, you’ll want to opt for the Hulu + Live TV subscription which will run you $76.99 per month and unlock access to Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+ and over 95 live TV channels.
Sling TV lets you access popular TV channels with only an internet connection and now you can get a collection for a wallet-friendly price. The streamer is offering its Orange and Blue channel packages for $15 a month during the first month. You can also get the Orange + Blue package with all 46 channels from the individual packages (plus 22 extra channels) for $30 in the first month. That means you can save 45% on your favorite channels without needing a cable box.
Sports fanatics will love FuboTV’s offering of live sports coverage, including NBA games, college football, soccer and much more. Right now, you can save up to $30 on the first month of FuboTV’s streaming tiers and stream everything from Major League Baseball to Premier League soccer. Following the trial, you’ll have several subscription options to choose from, including the Pro plan starting at $79.99 per month and the Elite plan starting at $99.99 per month. You can also get the Latino plan for $19.99 during the 30-day trial before paying $32.99 a month.
One of the newer names in the streaming game, Apple TV+ is letting newcomers access the hottest new series and movies. Right now, you can test the streamer for seven days free before paying the monthly fee of $9.99. For that, you can watch hit series like The Morning Show and original movies like the Oscar-winning drama Coda.
Starz has plenty of quality shows and movies to check out for less than $6. With this fall offer, new members can try Starz for one month and only pay $5.99. If you like what Starz has to offer after the trial, you’ll pay the still-affordable $9.99 a month price tag.
Though DirecTV is known for its cable offerings, it also offers streaming packages with popular channels you can access with an internet connection. Right now, select streaming bundles are $10 off their list prices for the first 24 months. For example, the Entertainment package is now $59.99 a month with a collection of fun channels including Food Network and ESPN.
If you’re a fan of classic television, Frndly TV is the way to go. Right now, you can sign up for a one-week free trial before going back to the $6.99 monthly fee. Members get access to over 50 TV channels featuring classic cartoons, Hallmark original movies and so much more.
You can also try watching hit TV channels with a Philo membership as well. The site is letting new members try its collection of channels for free during a one-week trial. After that, members will pay $28 a month to access everything from MTV2 to TV Land.
